The idea for ChemShopy began with a simple frustration: chemical procurement was too complex.
From scattered catalogs and opaque pricing to long lead times and trust barriers — the industry lacked a digital-first solution. So, we set out to build one.

FOUNDER, CHEMSHOPY
Dr. Bhaskar K holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and an MBA in International Business from Pondicherry University, along with a Master’s in Business & Corporate Communication and a Master’s in Commerce, Management & Marketing from the European Business School of Barcelona — a rare pairing of deep scientific training and global business fluency.
He brings over 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry, with a track record spanning research, innovation, and strategic leadership at leading biotech companies. His scientific work centers on the development of functional small molecules, high-throughput chemistry, and compound library generation, alongside building the strategic research collaborations needed to evaluate emerging drug-discovery technologies.
Across the pharmaceutical value chain, Dr. Bhaskar has provided technical, strategic, and operational leadership with a particular focus on early-stage, front-end R&D — independently steering new products from concept through to market launch, and pairing that scientific depth with a solid grounding in digital marketing. He is a co-inventor on more than 20 patents and co-author of numerous high-impact scientific publications, a body of work that continues to shape ChemShopy’s mission to modernize how the world discovers and sources chemistry.
